Kindles finally dropped in price so I got one, and went hunting for cool freebies to pick up for it on Amazon. This book I actually searched for and I’m glad I found it. At only a buck, it’s a great deal.
Every year my longtime friends put on a golf tournament in Southern California to raise money for the family of a close friend that passed away in a work accident. Golf was his game, BIG TIME, but not me. So for the past few years I come up with a lame excuse why I can’t play. The truth is I stink at Golf. At the driving range I’m a huge liability and slice 9 out of 10 shots. The tourney’s next week and I’ve got no excuse this time, so I’ve been doing a little practicing. There’s no substitute for practice, but the guidance this book provides has been valuable.
This book helped me out with basic rules of the game, a bit of background on it, and most importantly, a some confidence in expanding and working on the stuff I was ACTUALLY doing right. You’re not going to become a golf pro overnight after reading this, but it’s going to help a lot.
I was a bit worried about it first, I know don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but it’s pretty chintzy looking. But for a dollar, how can you go wrong? Anyway, my fears were unfounded, it was a great read, and the only problem I had with it was some bad editing and typos. I’m not sure that these golf tips would make Tiger really say “Damn!” as the title suggests, but I think he’d approve.

The first and foremost premise of this book is that playing Golf should be `FUN”!
The author believes that as a hobby, Golf should offer a relaxing and enjoyable break from life’s troubles while providing exercise, fresh air, sunshine and a personal challenge. Ok as a newbie , so far so good!
The author also offers the second premise, `Playing golf is a lot more fun when one understands the Rules of the Game. Again- agreed!
As a top player, the author points out nuances and small technical adjustments that anyone can make that will instantly shave years of disappointing scores and frustration off your golf game. Hey this works for me!!!
Within 5 minutes of reading this book on your kindle, (why not take it to the course) you will gain important step by step instructions and information that will significantly improve the distance, accuracy and control of both your outer and inner golf game.
This author accomplishes what he set out to do, “Improve One’s Golf Swing” immediately and re-introduce frustrated players to the `game’ by taking the significance out of the play.

Let me start by saying that I don’t golf as much as I would like to. I might play a round or so during the week. During the summer I meet a group of friends for 18 almost every Saturday. I have shot around 90 for years. This year I decided that I was going to do better.
I bought this book a couple of days ago. I noticed a difference almost immediately. On the driving range my balls are a lot more accurate. In fact I actually feel like I have more control over the ball. This has also improved my distance. My drives are averaging almost 20 yards farther than before. Those that play a lot know that an additional 20 yards can be a game changer.
The fact that in a couple of days I was able to make some serious improvements in my game has astonished me. I am excited to see the long term affects this has on my game as well.
The book is well written and moves at a good pace. The formatting makes this team book easy to read.
If you golf, and would like to improve your game, I recommend this book.
